Camping Equipment – How Much Gear Do I Need?

Camping trips can be a fun adventure for the entire family. But if you're traveling without the proper camping equipment your trip can sour easily. It's not necessary to run out and purchase a bunch of expensive gear, but a few durable items will serve you well.

One item that is worth spending the extra money on is a tent. Since this item will serve as your protection from not only the weather, but animals and bugs you're going to want something sturdy. Multiple sets of batteries are also crucial. Most campers will need to get around at night at some point and without batteries for your flashlight, you're in trouble. For your cooking gear, non-stick pans and pots are easiest to deal with.

Tips For Hiking Solo

Tips For Hiking Solo

Getting out into the wilderness for a couple of days of hiking and camping can be invigorating, and provide some time for some down time. Having a light weight 2 person tent can be very advantageous. Going solo, or with a friend, hiking into the woods with a backpack, tent, sleeping bag, and a few basics can create lots of tremendous memories. There are some very basic rules that you need to observe for both your own safety and that of the environment.

1. Choose The Correct Equipment

What equipment you take with you will determine the success of your camping trip. A 2 man tent is a great way to go backpacking light. Often if you have another person, a two man tent isn't big enough for both of you and your gear. This is especially true if your hiking companion is very tall or rather large. If you are going to be solo hiking a two person tent is perfect for holding you and your gear.

Don’t Forget These Items The Next Time You Go Camping

I have been camping since I was five years old. My dad would drag (literally at first) me and my brother out into the woods to enjoy a weekend of camping, fishing and hiking. Little did I know then as I was throwing a fit to not leave the comforts of my warm bed, that I would become a campaholic.

Ok campaholic is not a “real” word but I added it to my Microsoft Word dictionary so it would not be mistaken as an error. If you ever used MS Word then you know what I am talking about. In any event my definition, for you purists out there, would be any person who is addicted to camping.

Four Season Tents For Any Time Camping

We love camping here at tents.info (Hey we made this website about it in are spare time), and there is nothing we love better than camping in the winter in snug 4 season tents, This is a great article we found on the subject...

Are you an outdoors lover? I find that less and less people I come into contact with like the great outdoors. What's with this? About with Mother Nature is probably exactly what many city-goers need. It's a wake-up call. You know, one of those experiences that make you realize that there's more to this world than mere concrete and exhaust fumes. It's a time to get back the primordial side of things.

Step away from the urban jungle and into the real deal. After that first breath of fresh air and that calm silence hit you, you'll certainly have a new love for nature. Of course then you will also need some decent supplies. After all, it's not like you can tackle the big bad woods without the proper equipment. When it comes to camping, hiking, rock scaling, and mountain biking, there are some imperative tools of the trade. This brings me to 4 season tents.

In Search Of Tents For Your Camping Trip

They were the mainstay shelter for many years, back to the nomadic man era. They were easy to handle, small enough to carry comfortably and it has often been said if buildings grew naturally like a tree, then tents would be like the mushrooms on the forest floor. Why? Because they tend to appear overnight, are only seen briefly, then disappear just as quickly, with no proof that it had ever been there.

As sturdier materials started to be used, such as wood or stone, it was thought that the tent would surely become extinct. But for no apparent reason, as buildings became much more grandeur and larger, so did the tent.

You would expect a Montana camping to be some of the best in the nation, and in fact it is. Camping in Montana offers incredible wildlife, beautiful spaces, and plenty of wide open land. There are also plenty of choices for locations to camp. Here are five of the best.

We'll start with Salmom camp. This is a state park and is suited for anyone who loves being outdoors, but also like the comforts provided by warm shower when needed. If you like hiking you'll find a lot of trails all mapped out for you. And water lovers will also enjoy it here as there are places designated for fishing, swimimng and boating.

Fort Smith is the site of perhaps Montana's most popular campground. It is there you will find Bighorn Canyon. There are miles and miles of gorgeous open land suited for a tent or RV. Try A Used Camping Trailer Before Buying A New One

Before you start reading, you should know that our main purpose is to hand out as much beneficial clues about used camping trailer, as we can fit on our page Every summer thousands of families head out on an annual camping trip. It's a time that children love and parents relish. The opportunity to get away from the big city to spend a few days enjoying nature can revitalize everyone. Buying a trailer is a great way to add some privacy and convenience to your time outdoors. A used camping trailer is often the most affordable and practical choice. A tent is by far the least expensive option when it comes to a shelter when camping but often it's just not practical. Many families want to have the convenience of a bathroom of their own to use as well as an inside sitting area. If the weather turns bad and you are in a tent, it can get cold and wet very quickly. With a used camping trailer a family can have a more comfortable camping experience without the cost of a new trailer. As with buying anything second hand it's a good idea to do your homework. Many cities have local classified ads in their newspapers and there is often a section devoted to camping gear including a listing or two for a used camping trailer. Making a quick call to the individual running the ad and asking a few questions will help you determine whether or not it's worth going to look at their used camping trailer.
