3 Burner Propane Camp Stove
Many people love the great outdoors and camping and if you and your family belong in this category you will need some essential equipment, including a 3 burner propane camp stove. There are so many different ranges and sizes of camp stoves but the most popular is the 3 burner as this gives the most flexibility, particularly for family needs.
Choosing propane as a fuel source is preferable to using wood or charcoal, as the burning is so much cleaner with little or no residue. A stove that is powered by propane is not only economical but easy to use too. The canisters are readily available and can be obtained from a good camping store. You can even buy them at the same time as you buy the burner. Some burners do include a canister to get you started, but clearly this will be reflected in the price too (don’t worry about it breaking your bank).
Having a 3 burner propane camp stove is a real bonus as it allows you to be able to produce more nutritious meals. Many of the 3 burner stoves also have grills with them which means you can add toast to the menu or perhaps use it grill food rather than fry it on the top. Making stews or soups is easy when using a 3 burner stove and you can boil a kettle for a drink at the same time as making a meal. This is quite impossible with 1 burner stoves as you can only take care of one task at a time.
Clearly, the 3 burner stove will be a bit heavier than a 1 or 2 burner but they usually come supplied with either a carrying case or a bag to make it that bit easier to keep everything together. With a 3 burner stove, you have the ability to cook more food and so meals are quicker to prepare. This is ideal after a long hard hike!
Most stoves are very easy to operate and many have auto ignition which makes life a little easier (we all need such conveniences, don’t you agree?). You will need to hook the stove up to the gas canister but that is easy enough with the tube that is usually supplied. Always check the hose tubing before setting out on a camping trip as rubber can perish and it may need to be replaced if it has been left for a long time without use. Seals need to be tight too to ensure no escape of the propane. Essential maintenance is very important on a regular basis, particularly with equipment that can are potential fire hazards if not checked.
The price of camp stoves can vary and the most expensive does not always mean the best. If you are looking for something specific in your stove then compare and contrast with other makes and models available. Camping is a very enjoyable experience but at times it can be fraught, so choosing the right cooking stove can relieve at least one potential problem and provide you with a quick meal in half the time.
