A Camping Table

Are you tired of the balancing act you need to do on your knees while you're trying to eat a meal while out camping. Slicing up your food is tricky at best in this precarious position. You know you're always going to end up with some of the food falling to the ground but you can solve this by using a portable camping table. You won't regret packing one even if you visit parks that have picnic tables. You never know if there are going to be any left when you get there.

For maximum portability a lot of camping tables have seats already built in. These tables are great for the kids but may be a bit on the small size for large adults. Cheaper, poorer quality units can have a tendency to collapse at the most inconvenient of times.

Pay particular attention to the material your table is made from. Aluminum is an excellent material for more than one reason. It's strong so you should have your table for many years and it's also very easy to keep clean. One often overlooked factor is whether or not you're going to be cooking on your table. Cooking areas are usually in short supply at most camp grounds and parks so you'll need to make use of your portable gas camping stove in these situations. Aluminum is great for this as well as it won't burn or mark.

An interesting development in camping tables is the roll up table. This little beauty unrolls into a neat little table that is water and heat resistant so you can cook on it. It's also strong enough to support up to 175 pounds which is a lot of weight for a little table. Seats do not come with this model however so you will need to get some separately.

Another excellent innovation is a fold up table that has bench seats that will fit up to four adults or six kids with bench seats much like your average picnic table. The bench seats snap into the table when folded but are completely separate so you can move them to wherever you wish. Everything folds flat, snaps into place and then goes straight into a carry case for easy transport. An aluminum top also makes cooking on them a possibility.

Not only are they are great piece of camping equipment but you can always find uses for these neat little tables around the home as well. They're fairly affordable so you can easily have a couple in storage that you can bring out when a few of your friends come over with all of their kids. A lot of manufacturers are making quality models that can last for years.
