Bear Spray
When camping, the first thing we should realize is that we don't own the woods. No, not even the campground owns them. The woods belong to the creatures who live there. We are simply guests, and as far as many of them are concerned, we are uninvited. Much of the time these creatures are harmless. But other times, well have you ever watched the movie "The Edge?" It will make you glad you decided to pack some bear spray for your trip.

Look, we love the outdoors. Mother Nature is a wonderful thing. We love biking and hiking on her trails and camping out underneath the stars that light up the night. The bears love Mother Nature as well.
OK, so we realize that the chances of encountering a grizzly on your next camping trip are slim. So why waste the money on bear spray? Well obviously there's the "just in case" factor. But there's more to it than that. What about in your everyday life? You surely won't encounter a bear as you walk down your city streets. But you may just encounter someone who wants to steal your purse, money, jewelry, or he may want something much worse. With a small can of this spray handy you'll be ready. Bear spray is a powerful pepper spray. And if it works on a grizzly, imagine what it will do to a man.
Just remember, do not hesitate. Keep your pepper spray where you can get to it, perhaps attached to your purse, and use it when needed. Remember you are dealing with someone who either wants to hurt you or take something from you. You will not kill him, but you will put a very fast halt to any attack. And you'll be able to get away quickly. So keep some of this stuff handy. You never know when you might need it. It could be walking down the street, or it could be on your next camping trip.
