Folding Camping Chairs – A Necessity For Your Trip
You may like the idea of roughing it, but roughing it doesn't mean you have to be or want to be uncomfortable. While camping you want to get away from it all and relax, and good folding camping chairs will help you do just that.
Don't make the mistake that thinking any folding chair will do. Your lawn folding chair just won't cut it. Camping folding chairs are better in that they are portable, much more sturdy, and certainly more comfortable. You'll see they have a very sturdy frame made from metal and generally the seat and back are made from strong canvas. Whatever you like to do when camping, whether it be reading, fishing, or simply gazing at the stars, a good camping chair will only enhance the experience. Then when it's time to go, you just fold it up and store it. The chair won't take up much space and they can usually be slipped into a carrying bag that comes with it. We understand that when camping you don't want to overload yourself up with equipment. After all, what's the fun of getting away if you bring everything from home with you? But before you consider this an unnecessary luxury, think about what it will be like spending your entire trip sitting on a hard stump or log, a sharp rock, or even the wet ground. You won't enjoy the trip much if you spend it with a wet bottom. And if you're camping with teenagers you'll hear fewer complaints. Plus older campers may struggle to get up from the ground. The point being, these chairs will make everyone in your group a little bit more comfortable.
So what kind of chair should you get. Well there are plenty of styles and even colors to pick from. If you want your chair for fishing or cooking, you should look into one of the lower models. No more bending over to cook on the open pit. And fishing is more comfortable as well. In fact, spend your day fishing, move the chair, and roast a few marshmallows.
There are some things you need to be aware of. For instance some chairs have weight limits so if you are larger than average check the label. Find a chair that is broad and sturdy. There are plenty of companies that make folding camping chairs for larger campers.
And if you want to get a little more luxurious, some chairs will come with arm rests and have cushions on the seats. Other features include drink holders on the arms and side pockets as well. For more comfort you can get a camping chair that reclines and has a foot stool. It all depends on how comfortable you want to be.
For the kids, you'll find them in children's sizes.
And when the trip is done, a little soap and water will get your chair clean and looking like new. And for easier cleanup, some chairs will let you take the material off the frame and drop it right into the washing machine. Let it dry then put it away for your next trip.
Or better still, use it year round. Kids love them for playing video games and if you need extra seats for a family gathering, break out the chairs to keep your guests comfortable. They're even great for seating at your kid's sporting events if space is available and you don't want to sit on a hard bleacher.
