Minnesota Camping – Where Should You Go?

Minnesota camping is the perfect way to spend your next camping excursion. If there is any thing difficult about camping in Minnesota it is simply deciding where you will go next. The options are numerous. We'll try to help you out by giving you our favorite locations. The one you pick will depend mostly on what you like to do while you are outdoors.

For instance if horseback riding is the way you like to spend your camping time, then you really should check out Ann Lake. But there's more to do than ride horses here. Loads of trails and places to fish will keep you busy during your entire stay.

Are you going camping with your whole family including little kids? Then you should seriously consider heading to Bear Lake State Park. Really there's something for everyone here and it's very nicely laid out which makes it hard for anyone to get lost. If you want to stop and picnic along your hike then you'll find plenty of picnic areas along the trail. The swimming area is not to deep yet provides a great way to have fun and splash around. And if there's someone in your crew who doesn't quite share your enthusiasm for camping, they'll be happy to know that there are plenty of shows as well.

If privacy is high on your list of priorities, then Cadotte Lake will be a great place for you. There are 20 miles of camping grounds and in contrast to what most camping areas offer, the camping spots are extremely private. And fishermen should note that Cadotte Lake has some of the best fishing in the state. This is true whether you want to fish from the shore or take out your boat. The ramps are all set up and ready for use. And if you like swimming, the area designated for this activity is a great place to get wet or simply relax in the hot sun.

Finally, if you like to mingle with the wildlife then Fenske Lake should be your destination. This campground is loaded with it. And there's also hiking trails that are well marked as well as plenty of fishing, boating and swimming.

Pick one of these 4, or take an extended trip and hit them all. Minnesota camping has plenty to offer anyone who loves to be outdoors. You won't be disappointed no matter which one you choose. Consider camping in Minnesota for your next camping trip.
