Packing For Your Camping Trip
Your camping trip could be terrible if you do not take the right supplies with you. Be prepared before you set off, write a list and pack everything you will need. Camping is one of my favourite ways to spend a weekend, but starving out in the middle of nowhere while getting drenched in the rain all night is not.
Nowadays you can get all the supplies you will need easily. You can use online shops who sell everything you could ever need. More and more camping supply shops can be seen on the high street as well.
Visiting a camping shop can be really fun for all the family. You can actually feel and see the quality of the supplies you will be buying. Sometimes an item looks great in a photo, but in real life you realize that it’s a flimsy, poorly made piece of crap. There are also some experts at the camping shops who can help you pick what you need.
When I first started camping, I bought all my camping supplies live in a store, just to get the advice of seasoned campers. If you have been camping for years you might know what you should and should not buy online. Now that I’m more confident with what I’m doing, I order everything online. You can use the good brands for the camping supplies but you might be able to find things much cheaper because they are not designed specifically for camping. Single duvet covers are great to take because they stop your sleeping bag getting dirty.
Knowing where to get your supplies from is the easy part, knowing what to take is where it gets tricky. It all depends on what type of place you will be camping and how long for. If you are carrying your supplies whilst hiking, you will obviously take less than if you were driving to your destination. If you have room in your car then take everything you think is necessary with you, if you are hiking, try to really be strict with what you will actually need.
