There are thousands of camping locations across America but not all may be suitable for  depending on a number of factors ranging from cost involved, facilities, options for  amenities etc. New Age thinkers and fitness experts recommend a 'close-to-Nature'  encounter on a regular basis to keep one's soul and body fit. Camping holidays are  perfect for rejuvenating breaks from a hectic schedule.

If you are a first-time camper do look for a location near your home. This is more for security reasons as, in case of a problem, help will be more easily accessible. Even otherwise, whether you're camping out alone, with family or friends, check on the security measures at a campground. This should be your first priority even before you decided on a camping holiday.

Camping Equipment – How Much Gear Do I Need?

Camping trips can be a fun adventure for the entire family. But if you're traveling without the proper camping equipment your trip can sour easily. It's not necessary to run out and purchase a bunch of expensive gear, but a few durable items will serve you well.

One item that is worth spending the extra money on is a tent. Since this item will serve as your protection from not only the weather, but animals and bugs you're going to want something sturdy. Multiple sets of batteries are also crucial. Most campers will need to get around at night at some point and without batteries for your flashlight, you're in trouble. For your cooking gear, non-stick pans and pots are easiest to deal with.
