Highlights Of Camping Holiday In France

Going on camping vacations in France is one of the most exciting things that you can do with your friends before the summer ends. The nice thing about going on a camping vacation in France towards the end of the summer is that the majority of the visitors who are visiting France for the summer are going home so that the camping grounds all across the country are now not as crowded as they were in the peak of the summer. Moreover, since many tourists are already on their way home, prices around tourist areas are falling and thus you get to save a lot of money.

Before you venture into a camping holiday in France, you should check to see if your budget allows you to spare money for the trip. It is always prudent to know your budget before you plan a ‘want’ as opposed to a ‘need’. It is a good idea to honestly know what you can or cannot afford. The best way to find out how much money you can afford to spend during your camping holiday in France is to check you monthly income and compare this with your monthly expenses and see if you have some spare funds after all bills have been paid.

2010 Best Campsites In The UK

With the financial climate as it currently is, more and more people are looking to go on holiday in this country. There are still some parts of the Uk that are wild and untouched, discovering new parts of the Uk can make a great break. From the highlands of Scotland to the wilds of Wales, right down to the tropical Scilly Isles, there are many great holiday destinations for almost any taste. You may enjoy camping but, depending on your budget, my personal choice would be to find somewhere that does motorhome rental. They give you nearly all of the comfort of a hotel, but the freedom to roam around as you please. The only thing is that you might have to consider other factors like spare motorhome parts for example.

Here is my guide to some of the finest, and some of my favourite campsites in the UK:

The right tent for you depends upon how many people you plan on sharing the tent with. You may need a large camping tent if multiple people are coming. Also, the location you camp at and your budget will also be factors. There are family camping tents available if you are going as a family, as well as single person ones if you are going alone. Once you know what kind of tent you need, it is then time to start your search. The following are some great places to turn to when looking for a camping tent.

Cheap Lightweight Backpack

Ultralight backpackers are always looking for the lightest backpacks. Unfortunately, lighter usually means more expensive when it comes to backpacking gear. There are some ways around this, though, for those on a tighter budget. There are ways to buy a lightweight backpacker cheaper, and also ways to make them. The latter is easier than you might think.

Making A Cheap Lightweight Backpack

There are some, like ultralight backpacking guru Ray Jardine, who sew their own backpacks. I have sewn some backpacking gear and clothing before, and I can tell you from experience that unless you are extremely skilled at sewing, it isn't likely to come how you expect it to. Also unless you want to become an expert at sewing, making a backpack this way takes too much time for the money saved. It would be better to just work an extra shift at your job and buy a good pack.

Top 5 Reasons To Take Your Family Camping

While there are as many reasons to camp as there are campers, there are some common themes that show up often in discussion.

One is to gafiate, or Get Away From It All. Camping provides an opportunity to leave behind the stresses of the day-to-day life and recover for another bout in the ongoing fight for survival. Everyone needs a way to escape to recharge the batteries, and for many camping is it.

Another reason to camp is to promote togetherness on family vacations, forcing everyone to work together. I have vivid memories of a camping trip twenty odd years ago with a new tent for which we forgot the instructions… I do recommend putting the instructions on your checklist by the way.

Camping 101

Had it with the rat race? Got time off but not much cash to spend? Losing touch with your family? Sounds like an old-fashioned campout is just what you need.

Camping is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and spend time getting reacquainted with your family. Great family camping getaways are easy to plan and inexpensive vacation options. Nature is everywhere, so you don't need to travel far for your camping trip. You can journey to a national park, drive to a local campground, or pitch a tent in your own backyard.

Camping 101 begins with the planning. This part of the trip is half the fun. Call a family meeting to decide where you'd like to go. Depending on your budget, you can plan to load up the trunk with tents and sleeping bags, pull a camper or drive an RV. The point is to treat your family to an unforgettable outdoor adventure, so it doesn't matter how you plan to camp or where you intend to go.

Buying Camping Gear

Whether you are an experienced camping enthusiast or you are starting off on your first camping experience, it is important to have the proper gear and equipment. Many of the supplies can be expensive and some items may be hard to find. To get the most for your money, though, there are several tricks you can employ.

Plan

Unless you have an unlimited budget, a camping trip is not something where you can get everything at once without a bit of planning. Research where you will be going, the conditions that will be present and the climate. Make a list of all the supplies you will need and determine what items you have available and what items you will need to purchase. If you start early enough, you’ll be able to spread purchases over a longer period of time so it does not take as big a hit to your budget all at once.

Getting The Right Camping Equipment

Having the right camping equipment will make your outdoor experience safer and more fun. The more often you camp, the more you may want to invest in nicer equipment and supplies. Some of these items will make your camping trip more convenient and more comfortable. Shop on the Internet and at local sporting goods stores to research prices and available pieces.

Shelter

Tents are the traditional means of sheltering from the environment when camping. There are many styles available with various features. Your budget and needs will determine which one is right for you. Tents can range from $100 to more than $500. Use of tarps and padding can help with waterproofing and comfort.

How To Save Money On Your Camping Supplies

Buying camping supplies can be relatively inexpensive and easily kept within a budget provided that you are willing to do a bit of research and spend some time comparison shopping for the best possible deals. For those that are just getting starting in acquiring camping supplies and gear, a great idea is to stick with the basics, then gradually get the specialty items as you become more familiar with what you will require with regards to camping needs.

It is always important to keep in mind that the fewer camping supplies you need to pack, clean, sort and pack in and out of your camping area the better off you will be. If you are camping in a travel trailer or tent trailer you have more storage room and additional space than those using tents and hiking into campsites will have, so you can be more liberal in choosing camping supplies. Most camping gear and equipment should serve more than one purpose to make it practical. For example, to save space consider packing pots and dishes that stack into one another and just taking the minimum number of cooking and eating supplies rather than taking a wide variety. Disposable plates and cups are often a great idea but be sure to get the paper variety that can easily be burned. Plastic is not environmentally friendly but can still be used provided it is disposed of in garbage bins at the campsite or carried out of the area to be disposed of at a later time.
