The nickname Sunshine State was given to Florida for a reason. Even with hot, steamy Summers, there are twelve months of terrific RV camping in Florida. With over 150 RV parks and many more spots that on the beach, Florida offers folks that like to be in the outdoors many things to do.

When you come to Florida, whatever outdoor activity you wish to participate in, the suggestions for places to stay are only based on how much of a good thing you wish for you and your family. There is fishing, world class golf, boating on either the Atlantic Ocean or in the Florida Gulf. You will find some of the best snorkeling in the world, 6 of the top 20 beaches in the country and depending on your location, some of the best sunsets that you will ever experience.

Florida camping can be expensive. My wifa Ana and I paid $23 to camp in our conversion van one night. Of course, it was at a beautiful state park on the beach, and in the morning we saw a dolphin swimming near shore.

Florida camping can be inexpensive too. While at the beach, we heard we could camp for free at the isolated campgrounds which dotted the Apalachicola National Forest. Naturally, our frugality sent us into alligator country.

We camped two nights in the dark woods, next to the dark waters of a slow river. There was was an old guy who seemed to be living there, and a young couple with their two-year-old daughter. Lester was from England, Kari from Texas, and Indya was born in Guatamala. They met in India, of course.

Camping is the ultimate adventure, and camping in Florida is inexpensive as well as great fun. You have one initial outlay of expense, when you purchase your camping gear and thereafter it should give you many years of service. The expense factor is what draws many adventurers to camping, but they also enjoy it as a way of going on vacation more often than you might normally be able to afford. Camp site fees are not expensive and you don't have to be a certain type of person to enjoy this kind of holiday.

There is such a lot to do and see in Florida, the coastline is great and it is also interesting to visit the interior of the state. Florida has very good weather which makes it an idea destination for camping. Lovely golden beaches and warm seas to swim in are a draw card, but this is not all Florida is about.

Adventure vacations are easy to organize when you go camping, because you can just pack up your tent and move onto the next place with very little planning, if you feel like it. The expense factor is what draws many adventurers to camping, but they also enjoy it as a way of going on vacation more often than you might normally be able to afford.  Camping in Florida makes for the ultimate adventure vacation it is inexpensive, and once you have met the initial expense of buying your tent and all the other items you need, you will get years and years worth of wear out of them. It is not expensive to camp; camping site fees are very reasonable indeed, and unlike a hotel vacation you don't have to break the bank to have fun.
