Guard Alaska Bear Spray can be a Trusted, Non-Lethal Technique To Safeguard Your self From Bears Any time You might be In The Wild

My husband and I are avid campers who spend many of our weekends outdoors. Despite enjoying our time in the woods, we also realize that it can be a very dangerous activity. Thinking about it now is the consequence of a grizzly bear attack that we recently witnessed and fortunately dodged, thanks to a bear defense spray that we brought to the trip.

It all happened when we trooped to a camping site in Montana. We were tired from a day-long trek that we immediately fell asleep after setting up camp. As in the past, we had brought along the Guard Alaska bear spray in our bag to protect us against grizzly bear attacks. My spouse considers it to be the best pepper bear spray on the market.

We were awakened by a thundering sound in the middle of the night. Both of us rose and looked for the source of the roaring while my husband kept his bear defense spray with him just in case a bear turned up out of nowhere.

We were right all along. As we emerged from our tent, we saw fellow campers running away from a bear that had appeared out of the woods. My significant other took on the creature courageously by using the Guard Alaska bear spray.

As the bear drew nearer, my hubby aimed the contents of his bear repellent spray at it. The safety clip was easy to remove and this made it quick to use the bear defense spray on the animal that had gone berserk.

The grizzly was still more than 10 feet away from him but my mister relied on the wide coverage of the defense spray. While it displayed anger after being hit, it did not take long before the bear retreated. The non-lethal effects of this bear pepper spray were enough to drive it away, much to our relief and others?, without inflicting lasting damage.

After seeing the bear run away from the camp, all of us were relieved to have been spared of a potentially fatal bear attack. I hugged my husband and thanked him for being alert and courageous in using the bear defense spray.

As the rest of the camp expressed their gratitude, we nodded our heads graciously and advised them to make a habit of bringing the Guard Alaska bear spray along whenever they go outdoors.

Rezat J Embstun is a major believer in staying protected rather than staying sorry. He offers a great assortment of self defense items to keep you protected from crime. items include pepper sprays, stun guns, personal alarms, Mace and Tasers.

Camping Tips To Make Camping Fun And Safe

The best camping tip you can get is to abide by the Boy Scout motto and “be prepared.” There are all sorts of things that can happen on a camping trip so expect the unexpected. Make lists of items that you should bring and pack all the essential equipment. Take into consideration the area where you will be, any rules for the camping site, weather conditions, safety and fun.

The Campsite

Make sure you have the proper equipment for camping. Know what sleeping arrangements are and where you will be cooking. If you are using a camper or RV, much of this will be supplied in your facilities but you will need to know any rules for the particular campsite. If you are sleeping outdoors, make sure you have tents and sleeping bags as well as warm clothing. Bring waterproof matches for campfires and cooking. Set up tents according to instruction. Always leave your campsite the way you found it. The best rule of thumb is to make sure it looks like you were never there.

Solar Charger for Camping or Anywhere in the World!

I purchased a Soldius1 solar charge last year to charge my granddaughter’s iPod and cell phone while we where camping in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

It comes with seven plastic adapters for charging 250 different devices including power-hungry iPods, Zen Micro MP3 players, BlackBerrys, and mobile phones from Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, and Motorola.

The solar charger worked just like the manufacturer said it would, and charged my granddaughter’s iPod in less than 3 hours. Where we go camping there are more moose than cell phone towers, so keeping the phone charged wasn’t a problem.

This is a fantastic charger, but with a 1.1 watt/6 volt rating you’re limited to the number of devices it can charge during the course of a day.

This fact was born out when my wife and I recently took my granddaughter and two of her friends camping. The camp site looked like a satellite store for Radio Shack.

Camping Equipment Checklist

You will have a more relaxed and enjoyable camping vacation if you are well organized. A sound camping equipment check will help you do just that. Whether you are going for a week end or a fortnight you also want to check where the campsites are at the location you want to go. It is a good idea to call ahead and make sure that there will be a space for you. This is especially important if the period includes a national holiday. Make sure that you have some knowledge of the area in which you’ll be staying before you decide to stay there. If you plan on taking the family dog check whether that’s allowed at the camping site. If it isn’t then you may need to find a kennel.

When camping, the following list includes basic equipment needed for all camping trips.

Six Safety Guidelines During Camping

Camping is fun. There is no doubt about that. But as harmless as camping may seem compared to extreme sports and activities like bungee jumping or rock climbing, you still need to always be cautious about your safety during a camping trip.

Below are some safety guidelines to ensure that you have an enjoyable and safe camping experience.

1. Buy durable and high quality camping gears that you can rely on even during trying times. Don’t opt for cheap camping equipment just to save a couple of cents because you’ll be in bigger trouble if your poor quality tent falls apart in the middle of a sudden storm. For example, Coleman can guarantee you of sturdy camping gears that will make you feel that you’re always in safe hands.

How To Pick The Most Choice Camping Sites

Camping sites seem to be mushrooming across America over the last two years - particularly since fitness experts and New Age philosophers have been emphasizing that one should spend time with Nature. Our lives are so fast-paced spent in air-conditioned buildings that taking off on a holiday to sleep in another air-conditioned hotel room doesn't do much for a rejuvenation of the spirit or body. Camping, therefore, makes an ideal holiday choice. You can find hundreds of camping locations depending on cost, activities etc.

If you are a first-time camper do look for a location near your home. This is more for security reasons as, in case of a problem, help will be more easily accessible. Even otherwise, whether you're camping out alone, with family or friends, check on the security measures at a campground. This should be your first priority even before you decided on a camping holiday.
