Where To Find Discount Camping Gear

My husband is an outdoor enthusiast. He loves to do anything that allows him to be outside. He does all of our yard work. He will spend hours weeding the flower garden in the evenings when he comes home from work. He likes doing this because he can be outside. On the weekends he is hunting and fishing and camping. Many times I go along with him on different camping trips, but other times he goes with friends or by himself. During hunting season I usually only see him in the evenings after work because he is gone on the weekends.

Backpack Size

related article: Travel Bag Sizes

You should think of the season and duration of your trip when searching for the right backpack dimension. Because of their importance, these two factors will decide your ideal backpack dimensions.

Menu Planning Ideas for Camping

Before you set off on your great outdoor adventure, ask yourself, what's good to eat? There are many considerations before selecting a menu for you and your camping buddies, such as the number of people around, number of meals that need to be cooked, location and available facilities, et cetera.

The easiest types of food to bring are in cans, such as beans and soups. Not much preparation is needed, just enough heating. You can also bring along a cooler to stuff in your meat products, like pork chops, steaks, hot dogs, chicken, and sausages. Since you will be cooking by the fire, it would also be great to roast vegetables like corn and potatoes. If you will be out for longer, you will need sustainable energy sources, consider adding rice to your menu while camping. Fish is also easy to cook while camping, as long as you know how to clean the fish properly. But if not, you can always purchase filleted fish from your market.

Family Fun Camping Trips

One of the greatest experiences for family bonding is a camping trip. By leaving all the electronics at home for a few days, you and your family are forced to spend time getting to know one another once again.

While a camping trip can be a lot of work it can also be a lot of fun. Cooking over a campfire or even with a camp stove is quite different than using the microwave at home. The results may be quite different than the microwave stuff you cook at home. Maybe you will discover you really like the taste of food that is cooked over a real fire. Since there is not a dishwasher, you will have to wash some dishes by hand even if you choose to use disposable forks and plates.
