I Am Considering Buying New Camping Gear And Equipment

We all enjoy camping out under the stars and pale moon. Am I right or am I right? There's not a human being alive that doesn't adore a good bout with Mother Nature. Just lounging by the campfire, singing a tune and soaking up the peace and quiet. Alright, I admit that there may be a few folks that don't enjoy the outdoors. As for the rest of us, we need that relaxing break from the real world chaos and stress. And with the right outdoor camping equipment, a trip up into the wilderness can be an utter blast. Everyone get your tents, sleeping bags, and flashlights ready; we're headed outdoors.

Less than a month ago I was camping in a nearby woods with my daughter. She was the only one of my family members I could get to go with me. Fortunately she loved the experience. We're lucky to have a friend that owns a large portion of land, because he lets us camp on it whenever we please. Now, you may be wondering why we ventured out into the bush during the winter season.

Camping Food – An Essential Part Of The Fun

You've got to feel sorry for the folks who've never been camping before in their lives. My own wife is one of these individuals. I was utterly shocked to find out. She's the type that lists out endless reasons why she doesn't want to go camping. Yeah, you know the kind. The tent is too small, the ground is too hard, there are bugs everywhere, you can't take a shower in the middle of the woods, bla bla bla. The list will go on forever if you allow her to continue. But instead of doing that, I address the finer aspects of wilderness life. There's the fresh clean air, the moon and stars above, the peace and quiet, the solitude and of course the tasty camping food. Need I even say more?

Solo Backpacking Safety Tips

Solo backpacking means peace and quiet. No one to talk to means no words are put between you and the beauty around you. The miles just flow. It's entirely up to you to say when you eat or take a break. Want to jump in that alpine lake? It's your decision alone. It's a unique experience.

A solo backpacker also is vulnerable. Twist your ankle, and there's nobody there to help you. Have you ever been stuck alone without food for days? How can you make your solo backpacking trip safe? You can't. It's inherently more dangerous to go alone into the wilderness. What you can do though, is make it safer.

Camping Shops – Get The Gear You Need

One of the all-time great American past-times is camping. There's just something great about stretching out under the stars with your spouse or family. Where else can you find such peace and serenity for the price of nothing? Yeah, that always resonates with the human species. FREE! Camping is still free. Thank God they haven't started taxing us for pitching a tent in the woods. Now, you've probably already guessed that I'm not talking about RV parks and campgrounds. That stuff is for lightweights and beginners. It's more of a social gathering than it is a camping expedition. The truly great camping takes place away from the smog of the city and the jabbering of other humans. First you find a nice deserted place out in the woods and you pitch your tent and build the fire ring. Oh, and of course, don't forget the camping supplies. Anyone know of any great camping shops?
