Extreme temperature rating refers to the lowest temperatures in which the sleeping bag can be used before it becomes ineffective. These temperature ratings should not be taken at face value. They only provide a guide to the user when buying the bag.

It's important to take the checklist with you on your next trip and add to it. It may take a couple trip to get the checklist just right. But once it's right you are set for future trips.
